Almudí Palace

The history of the building dates back to the times of Alfonso X ‘The Wise’, when it was used as a Alhóndiga (Medieval Spanish Market) or bread house. Later it underwent several remodeling processes, until it reached its current appearance in 1628. The adaptation of the building to its new exhibition function took place in 1986 and was carried out by Murcia City Council.

It has two exhibition rooms where artists such as Roberto Matta, Jacques Lipchitz, Martín Chirino, Luis Gordillo, Alfonso Albacete, John Davies, Julio González, Andreu Alfaro and Antonio Saura have exhibited, among others.
